WHAT . . .is the PTA Board?

The Odell PTA is an organization formed to support the students, teachers and activities of W.R. Odell Elementary. The Board is the group of officers representing the general PTA body.

WHO . . .is on the PTA Board?

Parents interested in supporting W.R. Odell Elementary and influencing the selection of programs, activities, and events sponsored by the PTA. PTA Board members are interested in making a difference in the lives of their children by being involved.

WHEN and WHERE . . . does the PTA Board do its “work”?

The Board meets once a month, usually on the 1st Thursday, to review and conduct “regular” business. The Board also meets for a day during the summer to plan for the upcoming school year. Committee members then execute the different programs.

WHY . . .should you get involved?

Because your child and all the students of W.R. Odell Elementary deserve it!  There is a place for you on the W.R. Odell PTA Board and there are a wide variety of board positions available – some take a very small (*) time commitment, others take a larger (***) one. A listing of all PTA Board positions is below. Please do not hesitate to contact one of the Nominating Committee members if you have questions regarding any of the positions.
